Safety First

If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.

Locate the battery compartment on your HVAC System thermostat

Remove the old batteries and note the correct orientation for replacement

Install fresh high-quality alkaline batteries in your HVAC System thermostat

If the HVAC System thermostat still does not power on, check for corrosion on contacts
