Turn off power to the HVAC System and allow the system to cool down
Place a container under the HVAC System relief valve discharge pipe to catch water
Check the HVAC System pressure gauge to see if system pressure is too high
Verify the HVAC System expansion tank is functioning properly not waterlogged
Call for professional HVAC System service if the relief valve continues to discharge
