Follow these emergency steps in order. If at any point you feel unsafe, evacuate and call for help immediately.

Safety First

If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.

Turn off your HVAC System to prevent water damage from continuing overflow

Clear standing water from the HVAC System drain pan using a wet vacuum

Check the HVAC System condensate drain line for clogs using a shop vacuum

Verify the HVAC System drain pan is not cracked or rusted through

Call for HVAC System service if the drain pan continues to overflow after clearing the line
