5 Emergency Steps

Follow these emergency steps in order. If at any point you feel unsafe, evacuate and call for help immediately.

Safety First

If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.

Turn off the HVAC System and allow the system to cool before attempting to bleed air

Locate the HVAC System system bleeder valves typically at high points in the system

Use a bleed key or screwdriver to open the HVAC System bleeder valve until water flows steady

Check the HVAC System pressure after bleeding and add water if needed

5

Call for HVAC System service if air continues to enter the system after bleeding
