Check if the HVAC System pilot flame is strong blue and engulfing the thermocouple
Clean the HVAC System pilot orifice with compressed air if flame is weak
Verify the HVAC System thermocouple is producing adequate millivolt output
Test HVAC System pilot safety system by holding down the reset button
